Hey is this a genuine pice of surf history worth owning or is it just another popout from another era?

Any pice of information on this would be great!

Thanks

Well…

it is 100 pounds to buy , so far… for a 1969 board ?

For starters, THAT seems a bit steep to me .

it looks to be an s-deck , with a hull bottom , to me , from the pictures. [Are you used to riding boards like that ?]

Lastly , are you in the U.K. , because that is the only place they will sell it to , from the blurb ?

I wish there was a side on profile / rocker shot , as I 'd like to see that !!

I would also like to know if the guy with the 100 pound bid on it is , in fact, the seller ?? I’ve heard that sort of thing is quite common on ebay , just to get a steep price for old boards , because of young people’s enthusiasm / fetish for "retro " gear [which often , be warned , rode absolutely awful ! …I’ve had my share , over the years , too !]

hope this helps

cheers

ben

looks like a turd why waste your green backs or quid as you would say

Definately an old board, so a certain antique value I suppose, if your into that sort of thing. It will surf like a piece of shit though as it looks like a crap shape even for then.

It’s my understanding that bidding on one’s own merchandise is against the rules on eBay, although I’ve neither bought nor sold there in some time, and that could be incorrect or may have changed. It is possible to set unpublished minimum bids and reserves. That doesn’t mean there is no need for care; lots of financial predation and considerable misrepresentation on eBay, and the competitive compulsion to WIN at the end of an auction claims a lot of victims. I sell there occasionally, but almost never buy, and then only items with “buy it now!” pricing…

Puhh actually my friend was the high bidder on the board, and after I told him what you said he was getting mighty nervous as he was envisioning getting done in by a dodgy deal/dealer!

Someone fourtnatly outbid him at the last moment (the seller wanting to up the price??) Although I’m sure it is no allowed I think the prospect of getting some extra cash will drive some sellers to falsly bid on own items…

Well thanks for the coments and the heads up!
