A question for discussion:
-
Since most surfboards are made with the thicker/stronger layer on the top skin to protect it from heel dents etc.
-
Knowing that the top is also more domed and theoretically harder to flex because of it’s shape.
-
The top most often is in compression and the bottom in elongation during a turn.
Would there be a noticeable difference if the bottom had more stiffness (more layers) than the top? without considering heel dents and longevity.
