Hey Ben, keep an eye out for any elusive old Wild designs…I imagine there’s still a few kicking around the Vic coast. Happily most are well worn.

a few preliminary pics to whet your appetite
Really nice to FINALLY see a bonzer three in person [even if it WASN’T a campbell bros] . LOVE the full length concaves eh !!
… It’s just a pity you were not there , Josh Dowling , as ‘tree to sea’ were … And I would have liked to meet you , as well as fondle your boards ? ]

cheers guys !
sorry Bazza , I 'm not sure who made that.
I know that the board to the right of it is a pat morgan board , the guy who did the single keels that wayne lynch and nat rode , at bells …
not sure WHO made the orange bonzer , either . I was manning my brother’s stall while HE walked around too, so didn’t get to photograph EVERY board there [unfortunately]
I loved the crozier kneeboards , the bonzers , the spoons , and the aipa twinny.
not sure if the bolts were re-releases , or restorations …
tree to sea ,
who do workshop on making hollow wooden boards , also had a stand there …
here’s an old timer’s car and board …

a bunch of old ‘locals’, who someone made the mistake of giving a microphone to , so they could tell all their old 'I ripped , back in the day 'stories …
Yes , sure you did , mate . SURE you did ! [ WHATEVER you reckon !!]
[ yawn]
( Today’s ripping [and boards] might be a notch more than the ‘performance’ that the boards of the 1950s , 1960s , and early 1970s allowed , methinks … :) )

…by contrast …
a young guy there [ who I spent AGES talking with !]
was making THESE , as he had had a few requests.
Apparently , these are the oz and the american versions that he had been making …
A good bloke , with an interesting array of old relic boards , too. He is as surf-stoked as they come !
Here are some of his relics … and , YES … he surfs them ALL ! [ as seen on facebook]
