Discuss.

The man said discuss so I’m discussing…

The laser printed on clear decals looks interesting if you wanted some post-glassing decorations.

There could be longevity issues if applied on the surface and I don’t think I’d try them under cloth or resin. Seems like they’d repel epoxy and get ate by polyester resin.

But I have not tried so I do not really know. Maybe they’re right up there with sliced bread and frozen pizza.

Mako, have you given those a go? What do you think?

It is difficult to see but the material looks much like a light weight rice paper after the back is peeled off.  If this is the case, the question would be whether the adhesive will be a factor.  As he works the logo with his finger the substrate all but disappears.  Really tough to see from the video.  A trip to an office supply store may be in order.

I felt like I was watching a scene from Catch Me If You Can!

At the end you see the guy wet it out and the paper backing disappears.  Like someone else said a trip to the office store may be in order.  Consider the possibilities if it does work with resin.  I’m already using laser printers for my logos.  Might be an easy alternative.  Would be worth an experiment.

I’ll never buy a used strat now

Yes. I wasn’t thrilled with the idea of putting those “Made in USA” and other labels on a Squire. If it was just to make his kid happy, then fine. But it could be used to sell fakes. That being said, most folks who’ve been playing a while know what a Strat should look like and there are tell-tale differences between the real thing and a Squire.

I would have kept the Hello Kitty sticker, though.
