does anyone know how to get access to the older message? it seen every time i do a search on the older message, it wouldn’t let me enter the message at all. thanks
Patrick, Can you be a bit more specific. I’m not really sure what you want to do. Older messages are accessable through the archive. You can search the archive by poster name. Hope that helps. Let me know if you are still having problems. I have been experiencing the same problem–I get results from searching the archives, but clicking on the links just gets a File Not Found (404) message. I have tried to no avail on Netscape and Internet Explorer, PC and Mac. Any suggestions?
The old board had a problem. It scrambled some long threads after two or three days, so much that they couldn’t be followed. I think in the process several posts were deleted. Perhaps deleted posts were actually the cause of scrambled threads. Deleting posts was probably the reason why the old program scrambled the remaining posts. The remaining posts ended up indexed and sequenced to nonexistent posts.
Patrick, I think you (and the others) are right. The global search appears to be acting funky. I’m looking into it now. In the meantime you can go directly to the archive from the discussion forum nav and search by poster. I searched under “Patrick” and a bunch of messages came up. Try that for now. Mike
