I have one of Dale’s mats.
But I need a link to a more durable tourist mat.
These will probably be staying out in the Sun all season
long so I’m looking for something like the Surf-O-Plane
for a quantity of 10-30 or so for a Beach Resort Area.

Its called a "Red Back". A large volume design, rubber and canvas, plastic handles and dual fins. Theyre from Australia, manufactured somewhere in the orient. The one in the photo belongs to Greg Deets, for further info:

Hi Dale and Halsose, please excuse my ignorance, but every time i see a surfmat i think about how interesting would be to try one, and next think that appears on my mind is: “no leash… ok, learn how to swim Coque”… and the next thing is “what about duck diving???”
No leash and no duckdiving seems like a hard think to take out on medium sized beach breaks. But sure you have some tricks…
