airbrush

I aquired a fine point Paasch air brush but the only results I’m having is air coming out of the nozzle and bubbles being forced throught the pickup tube. I’ve tried water and thin paint but no luck. The gun has been taken apart from the rear except for the main needle and I can’t figure out why it’s not shooting the paint. Help and Thanks in advance.

I don’t have the same airbrush but sometimes mine doesn’t pick up the paint so what I have to do is close down the paint flow screw all the way and spray a little air. This seems to “prime the pump”! Then slightly open the flow valve and try again. If you start to get some spray open the valve a little more and hopefully this will let the paint flow.

dont thin it with water youre asking for crystalization. thin with acrylic…future floor acrylic should work. Austin S.

I am having the same problem. Let me know if you get it sorted as my brush is about one more try from a brick wall.

Are you running the paint thru a filter first before you but it in the bottle or cup?

Despite what some of these guys say you should always filter your paint.

I run mine thru old pantyhose (wife hates this)

Also, I will use a little glycol in the paint to slow down the drying time so the needle doesn’t clog if I’m working slow.

P.S- I was a commercial artist doing airbrush work for advertising. Now I just paint boards occassionally for friends and do some acrylic on canvas when inspired.

I spoke to the makers of the airbrush yesturday. They recon its broken and are sending a new one out to me tomorrow. I hope this one works OK. After that its a date with a brick wall.

Future floor sealer/polish???/Hummmmmmmmmm I wonder who thought that one up? Probably some half brained junkie.Herb
