Aku shaper help needed

Hi, im new to aku shaper and im having problems measuring my board. I put marks every 100mm along the stringer and measured the outline, when i enter the data into the guide points it shows up as a longer board?         Can someone help with the right method? is it the same with the rocker measurements? thanks.

I worked out the measurement prob, now when i print out a template its coming up a cm short? anyone else find this?

page set up maybe?? Paper size and or printer error?

you have length set over the curve instead of a straight line?

There are soooo many things to wrap your mind about using these programs. Aku,BoardCad , Shape3d it is not easy or elementary.

Perhaps
being able to measure out a board, 3-5 times in a row with the same
measurements is even something that should be drilled.

Then when
you have your first blank cut, you should compare the software
measurements to actual cut blank measurements and wrap your mind about
that.

Then practice taking measurements off the cut blank as an exercise in accuracy versus the software measurements.

But Afoaf has it right, curved versus straight line is another gem to wrap your mind about.

All of us will help, but if you are the type who cant figure things out , these shaping programs will bury you.

Thanks for the replies! i had the length set to over curve and glued all the bits of paper together. I used the stock 6'2 and it looks pretty good! it came out as a 6'1.5? Not sure if i should get a blank cut as im still a novice with the program.
