Alaia Question?

Hey

I ahve just glued up two 8" Scandinavian redwood boards to make my first alaia. I am going to cut out my plan shape from it but i had a question.

Do i put the board join down the centre or off centre which would be best?

I used Evo Stick serious stuff waterproof glue the best toughest, waterproof stuff i could find.

Will it make a difference to have the join off centre or will it be fine to run it down the centre? I was just thinking about weight distribution when standing up.

any info or advice would be great

If the join is glued correctly it will be the strongest part of the board so it shouldn’t matter where you put it.

cheers i thought as much will crack on and cut out my plan shape just need to hand in my dissertation first then i can reward myself with playing with wood and beer.
