I learned a lot by watching Bredin. He had a very unique style and color pallet.
Those are some nice lookin boards! Very nice art work right there. props to hynson
i dont like those sprays at all on those boards. i think there is probably adequate technicall skill. themes are however used to death and repetetive and unoriginal for the most part . these types of sprays can not be classed as art, more of a craft really… most airbrushing is a gimmicky copy of previous work and ideas and so on. . not art, or not good art anyway.
yeah nobody has ever airbrushed a labrador retriver with a duck in his mouth by a waterfall and more ducks flying overheadand a prarie dog on the bank standing on hind feet with a background of conifers and a bear peeking from behind the stand of trees ya know like field and stream cover art and a jumping trout yeah a rainbow trout and a fly fisherman with his fly in the wind with waders on , you know like real art… yeah like who needs doiliees and rock stars .
…ambrose…
give it to me like real art.

Ambrose, what was Gary’s last name, from Pedro, artist who also had the food truck at Hanalei back in the 70’s…used to air brush a few of DK’s boards.
Moved from the point to Miramar beach in 71’, 3 bikers lived next door, on their living room wall hung a light blue DK with a beautiful air brush on the bottom of the Hawaiian Island chain…believe Gary did the work…their story of how it got there typical of the times…
