I just watched a video from Slab magazine. It was aboard test and review. Here wis how it was set up They nada number of top shapers make boards fora mystery surfer. They were only given his basic info. height 6" weight 190 lbs and that he was a pro surfer. The Shapers agreed That they would not put any logo or any other indicators of who made the Board. All were plain white with numbers on them . Then They were surfed in a number of conditions by Dane in South Africa wind blown small surf to some well over surf Points beach Breaks and reefs . I found it interesting. Also a fair test of different boards. Some of the Boards he was able to guess who shaped them and others not so much Not sure if this video can be posted up here. Go To Slab and check it out It’s titled "A Stab in the Dark. "

TT,
That link took me to the 2015 test with Julian Wilson. I enjoyed it immensely.
The 2016 test is here: http://stabmag.com/stabcinema/watch-stab-in-the-dark-2016/
Would be much better held at the Kelly wave Ranch next time so that the waves were the same every time:)
Then you can really compare shapes…
The Idea was to see how diffrent boards worked or did not work under a lot of diffrent conditions. In Future Test adding a wave pool to the test might bea good idea.
