Bob’s first ride :

Just an initial update on the 6 fin. Just as I thought, the fin configuration works insane on a longboard. Had it out for the first time in big lumpy overhead plus wind swell this morning. The six fin is where it’s at. I will never again ride a 2+1. The center fin is truly an anchor on them. The feel on the bottom turn with the six fin is perfect. It goes to rail and holds perfectly. There’s no dead spots like a 2+1 has on transitions or when re engaging a wrap in the pocket. I prefer it over the Bonzer because it’s constantly on. It also improves the small failure of a quad which can have small washouts at times My first longboard with tucked hard rails all the way to the nose. No catching at all and I felt and noticed the lift. Who woulda thunk. :). No need to put a concave football in the nose. What a waste. The rails do it all. The only thing we’ll need to work on the next one is the glassing. My fault. I ordered too heavy of a glass job. We’ll go standard next time. This thing is going to last and will have a break in period of probably a few years. I’m cool with that. It’s a big water board anyway. I HIGHLY recommend you offer a six fin to others who plan to use their boards in overhead plus surf and larger boards. The elements are all there for the perfect configuration. Don’t even give them an option on a center box. There time is done, well at least for me. Of course if they want to ride the nose a majority of the time of course stick with a single anchor to slow them down. Looking forward to the channel bottom next.

Love that.

All the best

Great share!

Keep pushing the walls Greg!

Aloha

with as much fun as I had surfing a five fin HPLB in outside ineups this past winter, gotta think this takes rail to rail driving speed runs to a whole other level.  Racy outline for 22.5" wide.  Nose about 16" and tail around 13 3/4"?
