any advice on a diving/fishing SUP??

looking to make an all around SUP (not for surfing)...but something i can take fly fishing in tahoe to abalone diving the north coast.

not trying to split hairs with dims...but something along the line of around 11 feet....real wide to be able to carry some dive gear or whatnot....flat bottom with a single fin box....D rails, flat deck, id like to keep it thick as possible....4-5"

this is my next project, and my first EPS build and im super stoked on the idea of fly fishing from a SUP...really looking forward to some feedback, if anyone has any experience with this field of watercraft let me know if im in the ballpark, appreciate it fellas!

wow...that thing is gnarly...just added a whole new level of excitement for this project, thanks dude!

to have an outrigger to deploy

when coming to rest at a chosen

fishing spot would be stellar

and two would be even better.

A standing spot only 30x’’ wide

is a little tippy To have  section of rail

on either side to deploy increasing

the width out to say 48’’ would give

stability for sitting down to rest

on the milk crate aft.

 fourty  eight’'wide is way better.

shaping a rail is wasted effort

on a fishing platform

makem chined and square.

Built in stowage for spare fishing

equiptment is a consideration

as well as Ice compartments.

modular cartriges to fit stow spaces

for easy dockside loading and unlosding

for food … A Gps as well as bait and ziplock

storage bags for immediate cold packing

of cleaned fish, and Icecream and cookies

and other snacks

and who would or could resist a small

camp stove for on deck fish frying

with a folding fry pan…

and a change of clothes so you could

arrive back at the launch looking fresh.

get two or three of these to moor alongside

each other you could have a real party enclave!

My Fishing craft is a Kayak with an outrigger rig that I can deploy for Fishing.

A couple of weeks ago I paddled a home made Catamarn Sup The stabliily was amazing and had great speed in the bay. the Guy did a great job on the design and build.  It was an impressibe craft.

Working on a side car or potential trailer. something with a quick release when the man in the grey suit comes around.
