Spent the day seeing old pals, peeps that I had offered up good building advice to, but the surfing side of Expo is a shadow of it’s former self.
Entire section dedicated to hotel hospitality crap, 3 times the size of the 20-30 boards cos. Massive amt of sups

I spent the day there yesterday. Like Jim says, a handful of surfboards, foam and fins. And a million trinkets sellers selling the look. Oh well. Got to see some viral foam, and some friends I only knew via email. Caught up with buddies. Saw Sam Barker shape a Loehr gun as part of the shape off. Well done.

One of the main reasons to attend was the 50th anniversary of the Eastern surfing assn., I became an early founding member in '67 and to honor Cecil Lear with the others in attendance was important to me.

Stu sharpe was my bet, but a WRV shaper won, some of the shapes were so rookie piss poor, don’t know how they made the invitee list, not my event or call
