Anyone hear of and/or use this type of cloth... Spectra fiber 1000

While looking for low coast cloth I found this on the Thayercraft site…  (I found Thayercraft by clicking on a Swaylocks link on a google search for cloth, and it mentioned Graphite masters in the blurb…  I never saw Thayercraft on several other searches…  Ah, the internet…)

Spectra
fiber 1000, formerly known as 17103, from Honeywell, is an extended
chain polyethylene fiber and has one of the highest strength-to-weight
ratios of any man-made fiber. A highly processed ultra-high molecular
weight polyethylene, is stronger and lighter than most commercial
high-modulus fibers. A bright white polyethylene, it is,
pound-for-pound, ten times stronger than steel and more durable than
polyester.

Ps.  I looked at the Graphite Masters site…  I saw no pricing, or a way to buy on line.  Does anyone know if it is possible?

Pps.  This site, http://www.fiberglasssite.com, has good prices too - providing it’s not to much to cut a 54" roll in half (they do it).

Also - for your knowledge.  As far as I have found, Fiberglass supply has about as low a price as I’ve found on line.

Spectra, called dyneema in europe, is one of the best of high tech polymer fiber. Really tough but pricey and difficult to work with, should be vac bag for better perf. Often use in premium windsurf.

I don't stock exotics.  Just E, Warp and Volan.  Check Swaylocks Surf Shop under Materials,  Hexcel Fiberglass Cloth--- for pricing on a few items. Adding others weekly.   PM works best for contact.
