Anyone know this generously proportioned ripper?

This guy is greaking the laws of physics as far as I can see…anyone know the dimensions of the board he’s standing on?

4’ 10" x 17" 3/8 x 1" 5/8 ?

Merci bien balsa…mais je pense que maybe votre metric conversion isn’t what it should be…or are you thinking that he’s got one for each foot?

Balsa’s dimensions are spot on, the geezer is only 3 ft tall and weighs only a little over 7 stone.

Anyone know who took the photo? I want my royalties from it.

Bali…ripper.

It’s not Mr Briley is it? He rips.

Damn!

I hate it when my toupee comes off in public. Please use the other pictures with it on. Thank you.

I walked over to Log’s last winter and I’m pretty sure I saw this man surfing insanities, stacks o’ back, but damn he sure gouged it for a gent of his proportions, sort of like the late Junior Mopono

It’s Briles…

Yah you’d be amazed how unbelievably good some really really big guys are around here.

Junior was one but he’s gone now… Reynolds Wright was another China’s got a pretty big opu too

There’s a ton of them on the westside…

We natives seemed to be plagued here with a weight problem as we get past the 45 mark seems hereditary. Alot get hit early we’re talking 300-400 lbrs

Kalua pig, laulau, chowfun, Kalbi, sweat sour pork ribs, manapua, malasadas, dave and roselani icream all don’t help the situation… Even poki with it’s sesame oil flavoring can be fattening.

Look at Johnny Boy something like 5’6" 250-280??

There was a hilarious picture in Maika’i or Nalu Magazine about the smallest and largest competitor in Buffalo’s contest. I believe the biggest competitor was like 500lbs…

Oh yea Jim that article in Nalu about you was just fantastic…

The starvation gene. Some natives got it, get really big just eating normally. Surf is for every body!!!

Howzit oneula, The guys name is Jim P., Can't remember his last name but it's Italian and he lived on Kauai for years and now has a Big Boy clothing line made in Bali. He returns to Kauai every once in a while to visit. He is originally from L.A. and is friends with my youngest son. The guy can surf pretty good even with all that weight and I believe he is sponsered by F.A.B.. Aloha,Kokua

Just remembered his last name,it's Pelligrenni I think.

Here’s another customer for him:

“Fried”. At. Birth. ‘chip’

Is that like the A.D.36 gene that makes us dead tubby over here? I’ve been blaming my excess on that for the last coupole of years, nothing to do with beer and pies y’know.

Silverback,

I surfed with this guy at nice sized Uluwatu a few years ago - it could have even been the same day this photo was taken by the look of it. He surfed pretty good alright and is certainly the largest man I have ever surfed with anywhere - let alone somewhere like Ulus.

Cheers
