Anyone using Dynabrade random orbital sanders ?

my post ?..it done gone and vanished !

Make another run at it !

OK Bill…I was asking if anyone that uses a dynabrade , swaps pad densities…and do they  regard it as easy  to swap pads compared to other similar sanders…I have an older Dynabrade 4" random orbital , and like it , because it generates very minimal heat on the board , and has been an extremely trouble free tool for me…I would like to have the option of a few harder and softer density pads…anyone ?

I use a bosh pro forced random orbital sander, i let the standard quiet hard pad and use soft foam interface when i want a soft pad. I found them from car painting supplier. Cheap and effective.

…like a pad with velcro both sides ?..that would work

yes exactly. With holes for vaccum. Those i found are about 1cm thick. You can put pad over pad to soften

well that solves my problem lemat…and  very quick to change pads !..One  sander …4 soft to hard pads…happiness …thank you !

I found with my festool that taking the interface pad on and off ruined the velcro, after a while it wont stick anymore. I have two festools now and just use one for hard sanding and the other for the soft pad.

Ive noticed that over time Zack…I blow the velcro out often enough to keep the crap out of it…seems to work OK … My  intension is now to make my own pads from sheets of eva foam , and source some stock of fine velcro material to roll up and stick in the cupboard until needed… I love Festools stuff , but they are top shelf expensive.

Why did Michael Jackson’s mother put velcro on the  ceiling of his bedroom  ?
