So my next door neighbor has a I phone and it has Siri so I did a little experiment and asked it to tell me who makes the most advanced and best performing surfboard.After about 30 seconds It said Coil Industries. Pretty damn smart App.

Your right Paul I haven’t surfed them all but I have had 2 sunovas, 2 firewires ,Aviso ,normal epoxy and tried a surftech Oh yeah shitloads of Polys.I haven’t tried the Libtech boards and probably won’t cause the shapes look wonky to me.Coil just has the right amount of spring and the great thing is that it keeps that same feel.I am riding a coil that is almost 5 years old and it goes great just like the 1st day I rode it!I know that the compsand is super durable but the feel of the board sucks(A personal opinion that is shared by many)!I would like to try a Diverse surfboard he seems to be on the right track with what he is doing!
Mike and the Brassingtons attention to detail also keeps me coming back and their customer service is on point.
id say that mike knows a little bit about shaping and rockers btw. but that wouldnt have anything to do with it

I will admitt it I do have a apple computer but I have a android phone.I am crazy like that!
not all but close , stringerless eps / epoxy - pu/epoxy - pu/pe . some with carbon some not . firewire , hydroflex supercharger and pu . MAC glassed . pu/pe and eps/epoxy with a bunch a stringer and glassing options ( tricks )
i like trying new stuff and that is what made me want to try a coil , now i have a 7 board quiver of them .
ive got an apple surfboard.
from what i understand and have discussed in the past, mike know his rockers. could be the main reason why the boards go so good, the tech is for durability. i wasnt impressd with firewires. never held a sunova . wood is good for durabilty tho. it all to taste i rekon . im more interested in the shapes than the tech and the volume and rocker. although i have experienced flex and mucked around with bagging and infusion and sh!t. doesnt mean sh!t if im undervolume
i like the gallery with the step tail and good whack of tail rocker and his noses are really low entry. a lot of US of A boards i seen are way over rockered imo
Yeah Paul its the whole package that makes the coils feel so good to me.Mike is a master shaper and knows how to adjust rockers,rails,bottom contours,template and foils to make the best board he can.
I remember the first time I surfed a coil.I drove up to his shaping room which is about 2 hours from my house picked up the board and I felt it up talked to Mike and then jetted to the beach.Fortunately there was a chest high swell coming in and I surfed some fun beach break.My first wave was what got me hooked.I dropped in and did a nice bottom turn straight into the lip and did one of the best lip shots because the board flexed and it felt like the rocker actually increased and the board just railed through the wave.My friend who was a pro surfer back in the day was impressed by the lip shot and he asked me if I thought it was because of the new board.I had to say yes and from that day I knew that these guys had something special going on and they were so close to where I live.I have tried other boards after the coils but nothing compares for me atleast!

Rode my 15 year old Sunova in some good surf on Saturday and it was so sweet. I am so frothing to collect my Coil in a few weeks if it can improve on the Sunova.
