after having to wipe my hard drive and reinstall my life, APS3000 isn’t looking quite right…
…as you can see, the lines aren’t lines, and the curves aren’t curves. what’s wrong? and how do i fix it??

Yikes, man. Hope it’s not terminal. If it were me, I’d be psyching myself for a terminal diagnosis, but who knows…Jimmy Freese could know
Good luck be unto you.
(Hey how do you do a screenshot like that?)
Hit “print screen” on the top right of your keyboard. It saves it in your clipboard. Then paste it into a photo application like Photoshop or Photopaint.
this is your computers way of telling you that your ‘fro is unnatural and needs cutting. Maybe a frohawk’?
How Keiffa liking the stubby?
hey, man…keith was tearing it up in the surf from T.S. Ernesto a couple weeks ago. we found this nice, empty spot…totally protected from the wind. got some really fun waves. then, back at the parking lot, which is at a pavillion built up on top of the dune, he had it lying down flat on the ground, and some funky twirl of wind caught it, lifted it up over the railing, and sent it tumbling down the beach. put a little hole in the bottom from a rock?/coral?/beer bottle?/syringe?/sex toy?..or whatever else it hit on the beach. no worries, though…nothing a little squirt of suncure can’t fix.
i fixed the buckle on my pintail yesterday. looks pretty strong, but the surf is gonna be mackin’ this week…we’ll see if it holds!
MAGIC!!! IT’S WORKING AGAIN!!!
i think it was Microsoft DirectX…i hadn’t reinstalled that yet. anyway…i have APS again. so…back to the [board] drawing board.
…and a short time later, i’ve got me the beginnings of what will hopefully be my first hull…
Soulstice,
Sorry about the weird looking screen, we haven’t seen that before.
I had to look up what Microsoft Direct X is useful for as I’m not really a windows user (mostly linux) but based on what I read on the MS site, it’s possible that that’s the problem.
This is what they say:
“Simply put, DirectX is a Windows technology that enables higher performance in graphics and sound when you’re playing games or watching video on your PC.”
Couple that with the sometimes weird inter-workings that happen between Microsoft and Sun’s Java, and perhaps a likely culprit.
Sorry about my very limited knowledge about multimedia, my dad and I pretty much only wrote software with little to no graphical user interfaces, mainly just crunch numbers, untill this project.
