art/graphic printed directly on fiberglass....link needed

A while back someone posted some pictures of artwork that was printed directly onto the cloth and then that was laminated onto the board. If anyone has a phone number or link to the company that was doing that, can you please post it? I seem to have lost it. Thanks.

Nope, but hat might do the trick…

The one I was thinking of was a guy who printed directly onto fiberglass, and the board shown was a light brown color fish style board, with a white fence (kinda abstract) running lengthwise down the board…

What size image are you trying to do? Logo sized images are easy, and bigger stuff is manageable with the right printer and prep. It’s in the linked threads, but make sure that you use a printed that uses pigmented inks for both light fade and bleed resistance.

I haven’t posted in a while, but have had 25-30 boards glassed with full board sized artwork I have printed directly onto the glass. In the process I have thrashed through a lot of issues with printing and lamination. I am in San Diego and getting ready to do a couple more in the next couple of weeks and would be happy to help you out. Drop me a PM if you’re interested.

It’s for my buddy who will be glassing a 9’8" he shaped in my garage…He wants, don’t laugh, to do the entire thing in snake/lizard scales! He’s my eccentric friend…LOL

No giggles here: I have thought about doing fish scales, river rock, an aircraft carrier deck. I am pretty committed to a tartan semi-gun, and a fractal fish.

He’s doing the scale thing, and then doing some blood red resin “drips” down from the nose a few inches…I thought he was kidding…
