Has anybody experimented with different side fins to tune a board like you would with an asymmetrical tail? With a large center fin, using a sidebiter on the frontside rail and no fin on the backside rail, or using a larger side fin on the frontside rail than the backside rail. I think I’ll try it tomorrow, and wondered if anybody had some thoughts on the idea. Thanks, ride on.
Peter Drouyn had an interesting aysmmetrical two fin design in a magazine years back. One fin resembled a long board “skeg” and the other was like a big thruster side fin. I don’t remember specifics regarding foils and exact placement, but they were not even close in size or shape to each other or in relation to the stringer. I have no idea how they really worked but he implied in the article that they did.
