Just to let you know I picked up the Auslocks from Boothy tonight. Hopefully I’ll get some waves over the next couple of weeks and be able to report back. I’m looking at shaping my first board shortly . . . An all-rounder similar in length to the Aus, so the timing is good.

Yeah I had surf the week before last on it . . . Between waiting for some surf and being too busy, I haven’t had much of an opportunity to get out on it.
With the one surf I have had, I must admit I did enjoy it. I wasn’t sure at first, with the Auslocks weight and the thin nose, but it went well . . . I got quite a few waves . . . She’s pretty fast. Unfortunately the waves were only a couple feet . . . A glassy reef break though. Hopefully all the planets will line up this weekend and I can get to try it on something with a bit more of face, if it’s OK with you? Then I can pass it on.

I actually had a surf this morning. Unfortunatly it was small, just like the other four or five times I’ve gone out on the Aus. Never the less, I’ve always enjoyed surfing the board.
I’ve struggled finding someone to get a photo of it in action. The wave’s lame, but this is the best I could do.

It’s still at my place. Thought Doug might have responded by now but I haven’t heard anything.
I haven’t surfed since my last post. I’ve been getting tools, shaping bay etc. in together over the last couple of weekends in preparation for my first shaping experience.
BTW discovered the thread on the skateboard the other night . . . Mate, it was so good to have a good belly laugh! Thanks!

Looks like the Auslocks is stalled in Adelaide…
If noone else wants to ride it, it should come home to Perth.
Monty if you can find out from your end costs involved in getting it back that would be great.
Unless someone is coming from Adelaide and can bring it with them.
Can wait to see it again…
