Austin-Baird Circa Mid 60’s Era

Calling all vintage board hunters :ocean:

I’m on a mission to track down one of my dad’s original Austin-Baird Surfboards from Surfside, CA (mid-1960s era).

These boards were shaped during such a special chapter of California surf history, and finding one would mean the world to our family. If you’ve seen one in a garage, quiver, shop, storage unit, or know someone who might have one tucked away… I would be incredibly grateful for any leads.

Please DM me or tag someone who might know.

Let’s bring an Austin-Baird back home :white_heart::man_surfing:

Good luck. I used to see one once in awhile, but not for years now. Saw one once with the Newport Beach surfboard license on it. But as I said; Haven’t seen an Austin-Baird in years. Two suggestions for you though; 1. Search the Archives here on Swaylocks. I seem to remember some discussion of A-B Surfboards. #2. Contact the Vintage Surfboard Collectors Club. I don’t have a link, but a simple google search will put you on them. These guys run onto all kinds of boards. They have meets at various locales throughout the year.
