W/O fins it weighs 8.5-9 lbs, seems light for a solid wood board. Not sure if it has one or two layers of glass. Shaped with Ecuadorian balsa in Ecuador.
5’11 x 20.5 x 2.5 N-16.25 T-17" right before the wings, then pulls in to 16" Wasn’t sure if the specs were going to be relayed correctly to the shaper from my sister who called while they were down there and said they were ordering a few boards and asked if I wanted one. He got the dims I wanted, so I’m happy.
LOOK MA, NO FINS!
It was easier to get it shipped back w/o fins, and I thought I would like to try some lokbox twins in it. Either the CI or Pavel Turbos, or some wood grain keels.
Benny, its hard to tell even in person, but the strips are about 3" wide and glued up. I attached some pics from when my sister got a longboard from him in 2004 and was able to get pics of him shaping.
I think its one piece of weed (wood) based from the top picture you can see like a ring . that said, you could get the pieces seperate and glue them fine enough to not notice (but if you bust out the magnifying glass you can spot glue lines). Man getting a whole log like that would be awesome . . . but here in US it would cost and arm and a leg, and several gallons of pppetrol.
