I’ve requested info on price and shipping charges to the Right Coast. I’ll share any answers I get…

It’s nice to use large timbers.
One Balsawood timber is 4"x6"x10’
35 sticks remain weighting between 9 - 21 pounds 15 pounds being average.
These sticks are perfect for building blanks. I dont really need to sell it. However I
do have more than I need. It’s more to help anybody that wants to work with Balsa.
I like blending it with foam like EPS or XPS to make lighter boards with added strenght.
That’s 20 board feet x $7.00=$140.00 per stick.
I have 700 board feet. The factory zip code is: 92627
Understood. I have a main board building project (a variation on HWS design) for which I plan to use Baltek Decolite (available locally by the piece) for the stringer piece, but plain balsa for the ribs and other parts. I’m thinking that 2 ea. 10’ lengths cut to 9’ and 1’ give me maximum flexibility for the main project and possibly others and allow shipping via UPS Ground (2 pkgs) at a reasonable cost. I’ll call the factory as soon as I do some checking account math…

Surfding,
Just sent you an e-mail.
I am interested.
Thanks,
Magoo
Hey Magoo:
I use to live on 21st street in Huntington. Had a house there for years. Anyway I sent you a email. Call me.
After this week I may just keep my stock of Balsa for myself. The wall hangers are so beautiful from this stock.
Thanks for the quick reply Surfding.
I’ve been riding 20th ever since they put in the parking lots at the cliffs! I used to surf with Archie, Caveman, Wayne, and the rest of the Cove Crew back in the 80’s.
We must have surfed together.
I sent you an w-mail tonight and I will call you tomorrow.
Thanks!
Magoo
