Got a quickie question. I have done thorough research in the archives on basting and found all sorts of wonderful information with just one missing piece of information…HOW EXACTLY DO YOU BASTE A LAP?? I know, I know, seems as if it’s common sense, but am a bit confused as to the processs. Am I supposed to just paint along the edge of the trimmed lap line? Or do i paint the entire rail? Also why use Lam resin for this? Seems like it makes more sense to use Sanding resin. Thanks every on for theier help
You can brush over the lap or the whole rail. Using lam resin over the lam and under the hotcoat just gives you extra resin to work so you dont burn the laps.
Howzit Scott, couldn’t of said it any better myself. Aloha, Kokua
