BATMAN's surfing episode - 1967

Hi again,

This is very funny. Particularly, I liked the yellow trunks Batman is wearing…

OMG that was so bad lol

This begs the question. Who were the surfing stunt doubles?

I didn’t think I would, but LOL, especially at Adam West’s bumbling around in those yellow pantaloons–

I used to watch the hell outta that series in reruns back in the early 70s as a 6 year old lad–Julie Newmar in the Catwoman costume was worth a look, plus any time you have fire shooting out of a black car

It should be explained that that is actually supposed to be exactly that bad/funny, lest anyone think that the Batman TV series was supposed to be a serious treatment of the Dark Knight. But that would just be silly.

Thanks Jeff

heheh,

Who was the “Stunt Double” dropping into west peak Sunset beach?

And if only the shorebreak was always that easy to paddle through…

dernernernerner…

I watched that episode being filmed at Torrance beach and have a VHS copy of it somewhere.

Some things that stand out… The batmobile was a POS that could barely make it up the ramp from the beach. In between takes Adam West and Burt Ward kicking back with Adam sucking down brews the bat utility belt unbuckled with his beer gut hanging out. Too bad I didn’t get a picture of that.

that i awesome^
