I ride a 6’6" x 19 x 2.5 squash at the point breaks I surf. Looking for something for the more hollow reefs and beach breaks and for waves that generally jack up quick. Should I be looking at a shorter rounded pin for these conditions? Say something along the lines of 6’4" x 18.5 x 2.5 with a round tail? Thanks for any advice you can provide

Try it with a little less concave flatter bottom with a little more rocker. Flatter with more tail rocker in BB works good your not looking to create lift the wave has more juice then most points… Get it thinner to it will respond faster to quick rail change in the tube… Pins are for Power and SQ are for trix’s… trix’s are for Kids… i just finished shaping a new 6’9 pin for the the bigger days when the 6’2 is to small… Hope that helps…
Trix are for kids - i like that. thanks - your reply was very helpful.
