Becker LC-3 Feedback?

This looks like a pretty standard mini-mal type design, with rounded pintail and thruster set up.  I was in the shop last night and an 8'2" caught my eye with a nice volan glass job and green resin tint.  I'm looking for something to ride on medium-sized pointbreak waves and average days at the beachbreaks.  My 6'10" fish hasn't really been getting the job done for me wave-count wise, so my primary goal with this board is to get me into as many waves as possible when I don't want to take out my log.

Thoughts?  I'm 6'1", 180 lbs,

I'd go for something shorter than that...you're 6'1'' and if you need to cacth more waves easly you better get a 7'..something.A 8'2'' is closer to a longboard and starts to become another way of surfing..For what I see you're not looking for a super radical kick ass board and if i can suggest you the right board to ride, you better gett somethign more like a mc tavish carver (even if i hate shaping machines!).I tried it many times and catch waves pretty easly, plus has got that tiny bit of more rocker and concaves that make the board more manuvrable.

Stay wet!

and thats a 8' but they make 7'6'' also

Looks interesting.  At the end of the video, he recommends people over 150 pounds to go for the 8'0" versus the 7'6".

Wife got me a gift certificate to Becker's, but they may be able to get a McTavish for me.

I'm sure they will dude.It shouldn't be so expensive anyway. You'll have lots of fun with it...let me know!
