Benefit Surf Movie Showing for Survivors of Hurricane Katrina, Santa Cruz Sept 22nd.

We will be showing the Malloy Brothers’ new movie “A Broke Down Melody” and Patrick Trefz new short “Bicycle Trip”. This Thursday, September 22nd at the Rio Theatre in Santa Cruz (1205 Soquel Ave.). Doors open 6pm show starts promptly at 6:30. We will be done by 9:30- it’s a school night. Bring your groms!

100% of the proceeds will go to 12 Baskets Food Bank on the Gulf Coast. Great door prizes, raffle, and auction. Advance tickets at Freeline Design, O’Neill, Cowell’s Beach Surfshop, Arrow Surf and Sport, and Paradise. $10. Come on down, bring your friends, have a great time, bring your checkbook, bring your friend’s checkbook, and let’s raise some money for the survivors of this horrible disaster.

oh man- this is getting better and better. Haut donated two boards, Michel Junod and Strive each donated a special board glassed by Tony Mikus. Billabong and Surftech each donated a board. Billabong and O’Neill donated wetsuits (plural!) and special of all special- manny Caro of Mandala Custom Shapes made a turbo quad which was then painted special by Thomas Campbell!!! Mercy! Come on down- we are going to have a blast plus we will raise a pile of money for direct relief for the gulf. Every penny is going to 12 baskets food bank- zero to overhead. Billabong also is bringing a second movie- “CampaignII” by Taylor Steele. Door prizes (including surfboards!) raffle auction fun. Do not miss it!
