A buddy of mine found this board in a yard sale some years ago and its been sitting in his attic collecting dust… not in too bad of shape… the nose went to shiet gonna make a little nose block to replace it… i searched the web and the archives… didnt find much info on the board… Aussie board? mid 70s?
Have a look at the link below. I have’nt seen that logo before. Was it possibly made in the US under liscence? Any shaper info on the blank? Does it have the diamond shaped BB logo on it?platty.

The roll-call of shapers who went through the Bennett institition includes Terry Fitzgerald, Midget Farrelly and Nat young amongst others, so yours may be by anyone great or not-so. Bennett are still there at 180 Harbord Rd Brookvale, Sydney Australia, and the place has’nt changed one bit since a rebuild after a fire in 1960 something. Its a timewarp…I bet the girlie posters in the finish coat room were new when your board was made.
The Bennett clan is however the type that would demand a shaper not sign a board:- So many of those young hot rats who loaned the label some cred left to start their own thing as a result.
Its a long story, but I know this to be a fact.
Anyway, let that not detract from your joy in the find.
speedneedle… thanks so much for that info… i love the history behind boards and where they came from… the art… everything about it! just to be able to do something like fix up an old beat up board and appreciate it…
