Best Automotive Clear coat

It’s 2023… If you use auto clear coat, what is everyone using and why ?

I’ve got a board to finish on the weekend, and I’d like to put an automotive clearcoat on it. I’ve got access to spray equipment and booth, but I’d also be happy with a rattle can. So I need to pick which product to use.

It’ll be going over Entropy epoxy resin.

Resinhead uses 2-part polyurethane spray — can’t remember the brand.
But he doesn’t seem to be around.

I believe Resinhead used “Upol.”

I’ve done some hobbyist automotive paint work.

I think you’ll be fine with any run of the mill urethane clear coat system. As mentioned above Upol is a reasonably priced brand. TCPGlobal has a line that’s reasonably priced and lays down nicely as well. This stuff Hot Rod Gloss Urethane High Flow Clearcoat with Hardener - Quart — TCP Global

If you’re looking for aerosol, SprayMax 2k glamour clear is decent. I covered some Posca artwork with it recently and it came out really nice.
