best saw for fin panels

Hi guys, I use a jigsaw and I have some problems with the correct saw.

I have been used a saw for cut metal to cut my fibreglass fin panel,  this one is the best, or there's some better than???

When I do some curve, my saw loose the cut and warm up.

Aloha Brothers.

I use a carbide grit blade on my jigsaw

Hi Soulfins-

A jig saw is great, you could even use a scroll saw if you have one available.  Carbide blades will make the cutting process smoother for sure.

Best of luck.

the best blade eventually goes away, dead puppy.

when it is done it is done .The last round I got another

round by taping some scrapwood to the sabre saw foot

about the thickness of the dulled section of the blade

making it possible to use remaining sharp teeth

 on blade.

The thickness of 30 layers of the fin panel

was about 3/8 ‘’ the blade is about 3’’

the dulled spot on the blade

is really polished smooth and very dull

cut maybe four or five 9’’ fins

8 to go on a 20x24 panel,

shims 3/8’’ on bottom of foot

go on another five cut out.

when the blade is done …throw it away

the new teeth are much easier

on the motor of the saw.

carbide is bitchin’pay the money,

but when the blade is done

buy another one don’t pretend

you can cut just one more

three packs of metal cutting blades are cheap enough

have enough blades in your kit to replace

the blade in the saw in the middle of the job.

when your saw gets really hot

the blade could be really dull stop and look.

oh yeah dont burn your fingers touching a hot blade.

you know it’s really hot

when you hear your finger tips go:

‘SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS’

Actually a practical, and useful hint, to extend blade life.      Thank you.
