I’m looking for some rice paper for decals. Its 40 pence a sheet A4 at seabase. Its got to be cheaper than this?
Anyone found any sources?

I used the seabase stuff once. It is quite expensive and got eatin by my printer even when I stuck it to a normal piece of paper.
Go to a good art store and ask for rice paper. You normally get it in a role and it costs about £5.00. It is a little thicker but goes just as transparent when you glass over it. You just need to lay a bit of resin down under you decal. I would recomend this method for any material if you new to the game.
The other good point it is just thick enough that you dont have to tape it to a piece of A4 if you are useing an inkjet. 23 boards later and I am still useing the same role. the colours also come out better aswell.

I’ve found that cheap printers don’t handle rice paper very well.
The paper from Seabase is excellent - the paper you may have used might have been the old type they sold. The new type is slightly thicker so even poor quality printers can pick it up and handle it so that the paper doesn’t rip or get stuck. Over 100 prints later I’ve not had the problems you describe. You also have to make sure you print on the smooth surface for the best results.
