“The Big Board Show”, an exhibit of vintage and collectable surfboards will open on September 19th starting at 7PM at the Cocoa Beach Surf Museum in the North annex of Ron Jon’s Surf Shop.
The exhibit will feature surfboards from the collection of Roy Scafidi, owner of Oceansportsworld. Roy has been acquiring boards for many years and will be showing the best of his collection, many of which have never been seen in public. Over 50 boards will be on display including:

Hobie Gary Propper model
Hobie 50’s era balsa wood board
Bing David Nuuhiwa Noserider
Yater Spoon
Mark Richards twin fin
Additionally there will one of Laird Hamilton’s tow-in boards, and several competition boards from Kelly Slater, CJ Hobgood and Lisa Anderson.
This event is free and open to the public. There will be live music by the Aquanuts and refreshments and beverages will be provided.
