hummm,,,, no tint

I was hoping

Jefferey, thanks for satisfying my addiction. It's looking aweome!!

Balsa, those stringers look unreal, really came up nice. You must me hapy.Very impressive.

Chacal, the glassing .... very nice:)

Turned out a great team, you really have put together a nice board, looking forward to seeing how the fin goes now.

Bing, I had talked the family into heading up to Angourie in April, will see if I can "influence" them to Noosa in March instead and go and say g'day to you.

Cheers

Brenden

Hello, here we go (again). Here are the latest photos from Chacal’s “Shaggy Shack”:

That was the 11 PM edition of the news. Ladies & gentlemen, good night.

It looks fantastic. But, I’m with kensurf about the “tint”. Just my personal taste.

ya

coke bottle on the bottom

cut laped on the deck rails

nevermind that,,,,

you guys did a fantastic job

totaly classic!

There's traditional craftmanship in this board , from start to finish...........it never goes out of style......few people can do it .

Just a quick update, but she’s coming along. The black and whites don’t show it, but the pinlines are dark, translucent green that matches the stringer glue-up.

Ken, have to agree that it would have been sweet.  Was looking to do something a little different on this one… but maybe on my next…  after Balsa recovers from the time spent glueing this one up, of course…

Poor Balsa ,, Is he gonna make it ?? start an I.V.  Ha Ha!

Whats with the black and white pics

Teaser !!!

Glossed and polished, ready for testing. Jeffrey, Guéthary was 6 foot and glassy when I drove my son to school early this morning…

Simply beautiful Balsa

Tom

Thank you very much, Tom. But I only did half of the job. Chacal should be acknowledged for this fine glass job.

Beautiful work…

Honestly though, I think the pinlines take away more than they benefit the offset stringers…

Just one man’s opinion…

Best thread of the year!! Balsa and Chacal..What an amazing collaboration between two master craftsmen. Blown away...

My shops been buried in snow for 2 months and this has me itchin to get back in it.

Flawless glass job Chacal a new classic

Tom

Break out the snowblower Bob, get to work on that 10' Mexican blanket

Glad that the board is generating the type of response that it has.  Guihem and Chacal both went way out of their way on this one, and I do thank them both very sincerely.  The shape is something else, and the glass job really brings it to life…

Let’s not forget, though, that a fin is underway thanks to Camplus… though I had a bit of trouble getting the sample to you, didn’t I Michael?

Thanks everybody for your support during the whole thread. Special thanks going to Bing, of course. I can tell you that knowing you’re being observed by legends (and there are quite a few here…) puts a lot of pressure on your shoulders but, at the same time, it provides a very strong motivation to do your best possible. And I can honestly say that I also took a lot of pleasure shaping this baby. “Pleasure under pressure”… not a bad slogan, eh?

Thanks Swaylock’s for making all this possible, too. This place is really special.

WOW that did come out sharp!

good job all

Haa Thomas!! First i get the snow blower out(its been 8 degrees here and snowing)..then I use a lighter to melt the key hole thats frozen solid(seriously) so I can get the key in..then I carry in a big cooler full of hot water from the house.. then I turn on a torpedeo heater for 20 mins to get it close to 70 degrees... then I soak my resin in the cooler on hot water.. then I rush to glass a board before the temperature drops back down to freezing.. I did this all of last winter.. might be a decent surfboard builder if I lived where it is warm. Still love it! Hope alls well with you and the family.
