Biscuit/Sperm Whale Creation

hey Rob

the second one looks better than the fiirst.

you got some bumps in the outline, clean em up

looks to be closer to a biscuit than a spermwhale

nose and tail thickness can be whatever you want but make sure not too thin in the tail remember fin box depth.

just make it look good  and symetrical, its only your second board.

and what Ray said,, drop the ghetto slang, thats for punks,,, got it dog,,,,, you know what Im sayin? shit! "word" homechiken,,,,,LOL

Yo dog, wussup, regional dialects are permissible in the context of this forum, homie! =)

I have no clue how i have managed to stir up so much hate on this thread haha

Eitherway the boards almost done, I finished the lam and one hotcoat today[img_assist|nid=1066713|title=1|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=480|height=640]

And you caught us on a good week!

Looking good - your skills and shaping setup are improving.  I envy your open shaping area, I have a little 9 x 14 shed in the backyard that has to handle all my shaping and glassing.  BTW, are you familiar with "rail bands"?  If not, do a search, and you will see how to take your next board to a new level.

What fin setup do you have planned?

not bad for #2

impressive!

thanks i have some idea of what rail bands are but im sure i havnt grasped the whole concept yet. I tried to do a pretty soft rail 60 40 through most of this board with a hard rail in the tail.

I was thinking of doing a 5 fin setup so i could try it out as a quad or thruster

There's no hate on Swaylock's Rob....just people expressing their Love......You planned the thread...you took the photos......did you really go from lame ass funny board to half way OK board in less than 24 hours? Take a look at your own photos....and you know how to glass???  I think you are a prankster....I'm ok with that..........Thanks for making me laugh...the paper/cardboard template made me fall out of my chair.....I'm sending you a Man Hug right now.....are you OK with that? My wife says you are plenty manly with all those tools in the background. (Something about welding and fire)

Bill Barnfield has a thead on the subject in the archives, with good explanation and photos.  Worth reading: http://www2.swaylocks.com/node/1018545
