ive been shapping a square nosed long board thats around 10’6" my neighbor stopped by today and claimed that its a big mistake and the corners of the nose are going to catch durring turns
does anyone out there sure a blunt nose longboard? do the corners catch? do you love the square or would you preffer a traditional nose? ive seen guys ride boards like this before and never noticed them having any trouble
Howzit burke, Since the raols are curved you won't have a sharp 90 degree corner so just soften the corners a litle and you won't have any problems. Hand Shaper AKA Robin Moir used to make a lot of noses like that and I never heard anybody complain about the catching. Look at those dble pointed noses and if they don't catch then nothing will. Just make the board and ride it. Aloha,Kokua
