Board #2, Singlefin Green

Hey,

This is a 6’ 10" green tinted. It was the first time i did a glass on fin and the first time i made my own fin. The glass job is still sloppy, but it’s getting better.

Nice! good to see another green single fin

hey, you might be starting a trend with that fin material! How does the board ride?

I found that wood in the bargain bin at Home Depot for $1. It sands pretty easily.

I actually just finished laying the hotcoat this morning. I hope to take it out tomorrow, but i don’t think there will be any waves.

is that wood chipboard?

We call it OSB (oriented strand board) or Stirling board here in the uk. http://www.hapm.co.uk/technotes/technote11.htm Its usually used for roofs of garden sheds that are then felted.Tends to sag if unsupported and swell with prolonged moisture. Not very springy.Cheaper than plywood.
