Had a hard time finding a board bag to fit my new mini-simmons, ended up getting a custom made bag from Wave Tribe. Yeah I kicked around the idea of making one, but Clint told me that was a bridge too far.
Total cost was $132 which included extras for a longer size (mine is 6-8), fin pockets and a gusset so I can keep the fins in. It's a very nice bag and well made, well worth the $, 'specially since there's not a "made in China" tag on it.
I'm kinda surprised there's not a whole bunch of threads (no pun intended) on Sway's about d/i/y board bags and socks, maybe because when the board's finally done we're done too! Pics attached for your viewing pleasure. If you want to see more of the board it's on the MS laboratory thread page 48.
Looks nice. I tend to get an old longboard bag with broken zip. (generally free) cut off the last 3’ , sew up the edges, and use a buckle fastening. not pretty, but functional…
Nice bag.I made a sleeve/cover out of a thick padded blanket cut to size and sewn together with floss. Pretty much free and only 45 minutes ,but not as nice as yours (or my moms ) of course
