Has anyone recently downloaded board cad on a mac successfully?
I’ve downloaded the software but it doesn’t load up just launched the logo then nothing…
Tried installing Java 8 but no luck, No idea what I’m doin on a computer to be honest

Hi, I recently uploaded a new build, could you try https://github.com/HavardNJ/boardcad-le/releases/download/v3.2.1/BoardCAD.jar? It should contain all the required dependencies. If it doesn’t work please try to run it from the command line/terminal with java -jar BoardCAD.jar which might make it easier to pick up any error messages.
Hello Haavard. Thanks for your work with Boardcad. I’m going to take advantage of this thread to ask if it’s possible to generate a Flatpak or Appimage file to work with Boardcad.Le on Linux. I asked this question a while back on the GitHub project’s site (without a response), and I’m taking this opportunity to ask here.
Just this week, I was trying to make a Flatpak and Appimage files with the help of artificial intelligence, but it didn’t work.
I have BoardCAD on a Windows 10 computer, but it becomes terribly slow, so I avoid to work on that system. So Haavard, I would really appreciate if you could guide me on how to do this, or, if you can’t, if you authorize me to request help on the Flatpak forums to solve it.

I relatively recently changed the installer to use jpackage which can generate deb files. I think in theory that could be used to generate flatpack or appimage (or used directly). My thought was to setup github actions which would build for windows, mac and linux on the repo. If you want to give that a go, you could do that from a fork or a PR. Or just wait(sigh) to I get around to it.
The idea is to collaborate with your project, so I prefer that you can tell me what can I do. I don’t know nothing about programming, but I can try with a little help of my (AI) friends. Today I tried to make an flatpak file with the boardCAD.jar file on the AI. If you want I can send you the steps and codes to see if it’s right or not. Greetings!!

I’ve been running the jar file on mac no problem, works effortlessly for what i need it for. Haven’t gotten too into it as i’m just doing rocker templates. Couldn’t figure out how to print them across sheets tho had to use a separate site for that
