Board rebuild project.

I found an old beat up 10 foot log, shapped by hightide surfboards, behind a shead at a friend house. I haven’t ever shaped a board before, but have always wanted to. I took off 6 inches, and reshaped most of the board.  I made just about every mistake you can make on a board, but after days of sanding and rehotcoating, i have a finished surfboard.

How’d you puy that separated tail back together/

I removed glass from the entire board, and cut 2 inches of rotton foam off the tail, then reshaped.

I love those rebuld projects! Sadly it is hard to come by cheap or even free old beat up boards here in germany.

Nice job! props for the fabric inlay and tint on your first job.

Thanks, it was a lot more work than I expected. Surfed it last weekend and it goes, and noserides better than before.
