boardlady.org - Keeping the board lady alive

UPDATE: Eva was not happy with me hosting the pages, so I took them offline.

I’ve made a dump of the boardlady site from the web archive and put it back online at http://www.boardlady.org
Feel free to spread the word.

Note: It might take some time for the DNS settings to ripple through the world to make this domain work.

I’m trying to get in contact with Eva through email because I don’t want to make any copyright infringement.
I hope we can also recover the lost pictures.

Update: eva’s email is not working anymore so I can’t reach her, any help contacting her is appreciated.

I’ve already mentioned this all in this thread: https://www.swaylocks.com/comment/548334#comment-548334
But I believe this message deserves it’s own thread.

Hans,
Thank you very much for taking the time to do all this.
I’m no help on the technical end of things. If there’s anything else we can do to help, please say so.

Regards,
Andrew

It seems Eva is not happy with me doing this, so I took it offline.

Thanks for the attempt Hans. I guess it is everyone for themselves to save this information.

Never heard of boardlady. I feel left out…like I completely missed out on something.

Hans,
Kudos to you for the selfless effort.
Let the website and the attitude that accompanied it die.

I’m guessing the board lady just felt blindsided. Misunderstandings do occur. It always seemed to me that, like Hans, the attitude was always one of sharing generously.

Perhaps there is a way to salvage the site, with some discussion - and permission - before proceeding. I say don’t give up too quickly.

Probably the most detailed and definitive site documenting and explaining ding repair on a wide variety of surf, ocean, and freshwater craft.

@ HANS,
‘‘No good deed, goes unpunished.’’

What a total bummer. I haven’t been to her site in years and was really looking forward to revisiting it…

She’s probably busy at Isabella.
