So I am in a shop the other day looking at some nice new boards and i look down the center and can see that one side of the tail is higher than the other .

Lazy shapers that can’t be bothered to take thirty seconds to put a level on it. And while I’m at it, While padding and carpeting your racks, make sure the rack tops are level too!
it can also be the glass twisting the blank.
Generally its a rush job… a non cured blank, rushed to glue a green wood stringer in…quickly finished machine or planed shape…
the glassing usually only magnifys or increases the twist and the shrinkage occures while the resin is going off…
but they are all generallizations…
ive seen some of the worlds best, shaper/surfers riding bumpy outlines, twisted shapes, offset fins etc, and surfing better than you or i ever will… just go surf…
