So dirty glassing is no good your saying also… but not the same as anderson.
No used Broms… Plenty of new ones with a bunch of kids drooling over them!
call Bromski- plenty of new ones for under the tree. I’ve got dibs on the clear one with three blue glueline stringers and the vulture lam. The Brom’s, like the Cooper’s, go in the blink of an eye, used at the Beach House. I saw the “Kids up the street” fighting over a used one. Happy Holidays!
get a new shaped to your specs – sell off one of you older boards if need be
Beatty Products has some sick puppies over there. I could see a few of Broms boards behind the counter, I wanted to look back there but it was too busy. Some interesting Rocket fish configurations, a bunch of art Balsa’s, and a stash of Wayne Rich longboards. Where did this place come from? It’s so out of the way, it seems like a factory holding pen. A good place to go for ideas on designs. Check it out.
if the showroom is at his glass factory (on gray st.)then you were at the old Yater factory/showroom.(not the oldest one, but a longtime Yater shop).KP could tell ya more…
Showroom is right around the corner from old Yater shop and definitely worth a look.
…I’m so happy to see Steve getting the justs of his labor.Back in the 70s, it was a small group of us that supported his designs, and even smaller group that stayed with it.IT ONLY TOOK 30 YEARS ,HUH ,MAGIC !!! But seriously, he is one of the true designer/builders that have stood the test of time.My hats off to you Steve, keep it rolling !!!Herb
Thanks Herb, and all the rest of you folks out there, for all the kind words! I work really hard at making these fish as special as I possibly can. I know that they’re expencive, but I guarantee you that you will get you monies worth, in their quality and especially in their performance. There are others out there, who make some nice looking fish, and I wish them all the success. One thing I know is there is more than meets the eye to a top performing fish, and after these thirty plus years of shaping, I discovered the differences between the good ones and the bad ones. For the moment, I don’t see an end in sight, but I am growing increasingly frustrated with the hassles of custom glassing, quality control, and pricing, weighed against the small profits, and the high costs of living. Happy Holidays to all of you, and I hope that all of you wake up Christmas morning with a shiney new fish under your trees, or feet for that matter. Steve Brom
,I can’t tell you how much over time to the present your shaping has influenced my own.You may not have all the big name hype that others have Steve ,but those of us that know the difference, KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! …Hope is all is well for you and yours.May this be a great season for all here. …I was walking down Main st. in HB a couple days ago,I could image your name in the walk of fame…Herb
Herb $ Steve, There is a young guy that I have met at Rincon who has been riding the SurfenginZ / Brom fish. He’s been a student of fishing for a while now, he’s got 4 boards from Brom so far, dialing his knowlege and riding to a pretty impressive degree. I think his name is Tucker. As like others who have posted here, he’s put his other surboards away to study the school of Steve Brom. This kid is headed to a PhD. He had a 5’8" under his arm and said he road them up to 6’4" in 8’ surf. Congratulations on the progression of the fish. 30+ years and I still see David N in 1971. I think there is a Star on the walk of fame here on Yanonali St.
