Bonzer demo?

I’m toying with the idea of making a bonzer 5 because I’m kind of tired of the “snappy” feel of my thruster. I’ve been searching the archives and reading up as much as possible, PM’ing people, but I still have a big ? floating in my head. I really have time to make only one board a year at best so I’m reluctant to invest my precious time and resources on something that might be a dog.

Then I thought maybe there’s an outside chance someone on Swaylocks might let me try their bonzer (shortboard). I’m in Los Angeles area and surf mostly from Palos Verdes to Manhattan Beach. I’d be happy to swap boards for a session… if anyone wants to try my woodie (see "EPS plywood fun gun " thread). The woodie, by the way works like a charm. I know swapping boards is almost akin to wife swapping for some folks but figured it couldn’t hurt to ask.

ive got a 1973 bing bonzer you can try out if youre ever in santa barbara…its a gunnier shape for a guy my size (6’2 200lbs) so it need a good wave, but if youre small you could take it out on a smaller day…let me know if youre up here this winter and you can try it out!
