Just thought I’d post this information so it could live on the internet and potentially help
those with the same problem.
Just recently a friend bought a Boz Wetsuit , made in Peru, Fall 2007
fullsuit , taped on the inside. Te tape is the old fashioned cloth tape on the inside.
With Boz you get a cheap price and some lagging technology features.
Well after wearing it once he got a severe and painful chemical reaction
to the tape with pain extending deep down. You could see welts where ever the
tape came in contact to his skin. He went to the doctors and was really disturbed
over this. He contacted Boz and it seems that this might not be the first case
of this. Currently he is perplexed, worried and keeping the suit, and is going to run a chemical
analysis at a lab.
Anyhow, this story may run parallel to the Chinese toy problems and lead.
My conjecture would run along the lines of a wetsuit production line
running out of appropriate glue and grabbing whatever was available
to keep the line going…Third World Production Ethics!
