Brewer Style Gun...fin?

Out of curiostiy, what kind of fin was used on an early 70’s Brewer gun? I made something similar for kicks and need a fin. Dimensions: L 8’6"; N 11"; W 19.5"; T 9"; There’s a 1" tail block and the wide point of the board is pretty high above center. Need a fin that fits the look and era as this might end up as a wall hanger. Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! …A Downing style rake,I have templates, but it would be hard to pass that on over the net.Base is 5-7/8" x 9" tall, about 1-1/2" of rake from the trailing edge to the tip.thickest part of base foil is 5/8".Herb

Ghunt, post your e mail and I’ll send you the template used on Darrick’s Super Bowl Sunday Brewer gun. The board is 9-6, so you would take a little tip off of it. Aloha, Tom

Thanks Herb! I’d love to see a diagram. If you feel inclined, take a snapshot of a template and email it to me. Since we’re on the subject, do you know anyone with some old Greenough fin templates, circa '67-'69?>>> …A Downing style rake,I have templates, but it would be hard to > pass that on over the net.Base is 5-7/8" x 9" tall, about > 1-1/2" of rake from the trailing edge to the tip.thickest part of > base foil is 5/8".Herb

I you can get your hands on an early 70’s Surfer Magazine, Fin Unlimited used to advertise and market a Brewer template. It had a wide base, wasnt too deep, maybe 8in at the most, not too much rake.

I’m making a knockoff of a Chapman/Brewer 9’1" pintail and even though I love the fin on it, it would be nice to have
