Broken FCS Fin Tabs...who's fixing them and how?

Hey Sway Crew.  It’s been quite a while since posting last as life has taken me for quite a ride this past year.  Fortunately I’m back up and running in Mainland Mexico about 1 hour south of Puerto Esc.  Been doing plenty of board and boat repairs for the locals as well as filling fin orders and doing the new daddy thing for the past 3 months - had a great little kid born in Puerto in a doctor’s office overlooking Playa Zicatela.  The surf that day was epic.

Okay, to the point:  Along with the board repairs I’m getting requests to repair FCS fins (injection moulded type) whose tabs are broken clean off.  Sometimes they have the base - other times not. I know poly or epoxy aren’t going to hold, and I tried fusing the joint with heat, but had no luck.  I feel pretty bad turning these guys down since most do not have the cash to buy a new set of fins.  Besides that I wouldn’t mind seeing otherwise useful fins back in the water.

So…what’s the news?  Who has had luck repairing them and what other fixes don’t work?
