Just copy your pal claysurf’s one. I’m sure he’s finished by now!
ur right. My template is pretty straight, but my drawing wasn’t :D. Look at my template Sir - I’m using it.I’ll also push the tail up w template to tune tail hip curve at 12" mark or so…ty for input!
TaylorO - the mini simmons is basically a very parallel outline, has a bit of a hip curve at 12" mark, has zero rocker n tail half, flipped up nose, down rails and a step deck or s deck as far as my research tells me. That said, I’m modifying mine slightly. I’ll cut in a little tail rocker, I’ll boost the double concave between fins, put a single in from just above wp back to fins…I think this is something to help it gain lift and maneuverability w very wide tail…being you shape - you know w wider tail you gotta do something to make it tilt over…thin it, put vees in, concaves -whatever. The tail will be pulled in a bit - not a lot…hopefully just enough. Lastly, I’ll boost my tail kick up a little to assist. I think it’ll be a fun project! Note: the board will be used in garbage surf -to clean slightly overhead conditions. Not big surf! Mine is designed for making questionable waves doable to allow one to keep moving - even in dismal waves that would otherwise sink tail/nose in that old splash down routine…
